When He Returns

Chapter 5: It's really.... him!

    "Italy!"

    Italy turned around, he thought he recognized the voice. He didn't expect it to be.... him!
    "H-Holy Rome!?!??!"
    "Italy, I've returned..."
    Italy dropped the wildflowers and ran right to Holy Rome, tears in his eyes. It was him, he came back, Holy Rome is back! Holy Rome wrapped his arms around Italy, tight. The empire wanted to do this for years, but he had to heal first. Holy Rome started to cry as well. As the rain poured down on the two, they where reunited in a tight embrace. 
    "Hold on, kay? I made something for when you came back!" Italy said with a bright smile on his face.
    "O-Oh, alright" 
    Italy ran inside to grab his card, still soaking wet. Romano saw him run upstairs. 'What's gotten into Italy?' He wondered. That's when he looked outside and saw him. There he was, live in the flesh, it was Holy Roman Empire. Romano was astonished. Italy ran back down, card in his hand, when Romano grabbed Italy's free arm. 
    "Don't tell me that's really Holy Rome!!!"
    "It is!"
    Romano stood there, shocked. Italy got out of his brothers grasp and ran back outside. The rain had just stopped, and was moving east. Italy looked down and shoved the card into Holy Romes arms. 
    "H-Here!"    
    "Huh? Oh, t-thanks Italy"
    Holy Rome opened the card, and saw a really cute drawing of him and Italy. He read the card aloud. 
 
Dear Holy Roman Empire,
    I missed you so much! I knew deep down that you would return! I knew you would keep your promise! With this, I guess I should just say it, shouldn't I? I love you so much Holy Rome. I always wanted to tell you, but I was too nervous. When you kissed me before you left, I really wanted that to last forever, but it couldn't. Maybe, we could, kiss again?

    Holy Rome was shocked, his face was flushed red. He smiled after about 5 seconds of shock. He set the card down and looked at Italy, who was the darkest shade of red he's ever seen. Holy Rome wrapped an arm around Italy's waist. With his free hand, Holy Rome lifted Italy's chin, and leaned in slowly. The distance between the two disappeared, as the two shared a passionate kiss. Right when Romano and Spain ran out, they saw the two. Romano's mouth almost touched the ground, while Spain just smiled brightly. As the two separated, Italy saw them staring. 
    "R-R-Romano!? And S-Spain!?!"
    "Hola, Italia"
    "YOU LITTLE BITCH HOLY ROME IF YOU EVER KISS MY FRATELLO AGAIN, I WILL SLIT OPEN YOUR STOMACH AND TEAR OUT YOUR ORGANS!!!!!!" 
    Spain then hugged Romano so he would calm down, and Italy apologized for his brother's behavior, and told him that he usually acts like that.
